Monday's meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to recommend to President Ram Chandra Poudel to convene a session of the Federal Parliament.
According to government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, a decision has been made to recommend convening sessions of the National Assembly and the House of Representatives of the federal parliament to be held at 2 pm on Chaitra 19.
The Cabinet meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at 4 pm on Monday. The first session of the House of Representatives after the election is about to be held. In this session, the House of Representatives will elect the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. According to the provisions of the constitution, the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker must be held within 15 days of the first session after the election.
